What Pet Parents Are Saying

Getting Started

How Do I Get Started?

See my availability and book a meet & greet, or send a request and I’ll reach out. We meet, and if it’s a fit, we set your dates.

What Happens at the Meet & Greet?

We meet, your pets get to check me out, and I learn their routine: food, walks, meds, quirks and house rules. You can ask me anything, and if it’s a fit, we set your dates.

What Areas Do You Serve?

Greensboro and nearby towns across the Triad, including Jamestown, Pleasant Garden, McLeansville, Summerfield, Browns Summit, Oak Ridge, High Point, Kernersville and Winston-Salem. Mileage applies beyond 15 miles of my home base.

What’s the Difference Between a Drop-In, Overnight Sitting and Boarding?

A drop-in is a 30 or 60-minute visit to your home for potty breaks, food and attention. Overnight sitting means I stay the night at your house. Boarding means your dog stays overnight at my home. Each service page has the details.

Prices

How Much Does a Pet Sitter Cost?

My visits start at $15 for a 30-minute drop-in. Dog walks and cat check-ins are $20, overnight pet sitting in your home is $40, and boarding in my home is $45. Every price is listed in the services section.

How Much Is Overnight Pet Sitting for Two Pets?

It’s $40 for the first pet and $7 for each additional pet, so two pets are $47 and three are $54.

Do Holidays, Extra Pets or Distance Cost More?

Major holidays are $10 extra per day. Extra pets on overnight stays are $7 each. Mileage applies beyond 15 miles of my home base, and I’ll tell you the cost up front.

How Much Should I Tip a Pet Sitter?

Tips are never expected. If you’d like to, many people tip around 10 to 20 percent, or a little extra after a long trip or a holiday. A kind review helps just as much.

Care and Updates

Can You Give My Pet Medication?

Yes, and it’s included with every service. Show me the dose and timing at the meet & greet and I’ll follow it exactly.

Will I Get Updates While I’m Away?

Yes. I send photos and a quick note during every visit, so you always know how your pets are doing.

Do You Charge Extra for Senior Pets?

No. Seniors pay the same prices as everyone else, and meds are included with every service.

How Many Drop-Ins a Day Does My Dog Need?

It depends on your dog. Many adult dogs do fine with one midday visit on a workday, while seniors and dogs on meds may need more. We’ll figure it out together at the meet & greet.

What If My Cat Hides From You?

That’s normal, especially at first. I’ll make sure they’re eating, drinking and using the litter box, and you’ll still get a photo, even if it’s just a tail under the bed.

Boarding

What Shots Does My Dog Need for Boarding?

North Carolina law requires a current rabies vaccine. I also ask for distemper/parvo (DHPP) and Bordetella (kennel cough). Bring your vet records to the meet & greet.

What Should I Pack for My Dog’s Stay?

Their food, any meds with dosing notes, a leash, and something that smells like home, like a bed, blanket or favorite toy.

Should I Pick Boarding or Overnight Sitting?

Boarding suits social dogs and owners who’d rather not have someone stay at their place. Overnight sitting ($40, plus $7 per extra pet) keeps your pets at home, which is often better for anxious dogs, seniors and multi-pet homes.

Holidays

How Much Extra Is Holiday Pet Sitting?

Major holidays add $10 per day to any service. A 30-minute drop-in on Thanksgiving is $25 instead of $15, and a night of boarding is $55 instead of $45.

Which Days Count as Holidays?

New Year’s Eve and Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve and Day.

How Early Should I Book for Thanksgiving or Christmas?

As early as you can. Holiday weeks are the busiest of the year for pet sitters, and new clients need a meet & greet first, so reach out a few weeks ahead.

Keys and Safety

How Do You Handle My Keys?

Keys get a coded tag, never your name or address, and they come back to you after your booking. Lockboxes and door codes work too.

What Happens in an Emergency?

Before your first booking, you’ll sign a vet release so I can get your pet care fast. I’ll contact you right away, and your emergency contact if I can’t reach you.

Will You Post My Pet Online?

Only with your OK, and never anything that shows where you live.
